Mr. Ali Saif HassanExecutive Director An independent political and human rights activist, Ali Saif Hassan renounced his membership in the Unionist Nasserite Party, where he had held a number of prominent positions, the last of which was the Assistant Secretary General of the Party. Previously, he had worked as an executive manager for a number of companies in private and public sectors. He has an M.A. in Business Management from the United States.
Professor Mohammed Abdul Malik Al-MotawakelAdvisor One of the most outstanding political and human rights activists in Yemen and Arab World, Professor Al-Motawakel is currently the General Coordinator of the Islamic and Pan Arab Conference, Assistant Secretary General of the Federation of the Popular Forces party in Yemen, and a professor of Political Science at San`a’ University. He has an M.A. in Communication Studies from the United States and a Ph.D. in Communication/Information from Egypt. Member A human rights activist interested in the political participation of youth, Mr. Abdul Ghani Al-Eryani runs his own business. He received his M.A. in Public Health from the United States.
Mr. Ali Mohammed Al-SarariMember A Political and human rights activist, journalist, and writer, member of the Yemeni Socialist Party’s Political Bureau and General Secretariat, Mr. Al-Sarari worked as the editor-in-chief for a number of political party and civil newspapers. He has an M.A. in Journalism from Bulgaria.
Mr. Saeed Thabet SaeedMember A political and human rights activist, journalist and writer, Mr. Saeed Thabet Saeed currently holds the posts of First Deputy of the Yemeni Journalists’ Syndicate and member of the Political Department of the Islah Party. He has a B.A. in journalism from Jordan. Board Chairperson A human rights activist concerned with social development in general and women’s development in particular, Ms. Nafisa Al-Washali teaches at San`a’ University and is a participant in and researcher with UNDP Yemen. She obtained her M.A. in France. Vice Board Chairperson A human rights and political activist interested in women’s political participation, Ms. Rana Ghanim occupied a number of leading positions in the Unionist Nasserite Party, the last of which was a member of the General Secretariat. Currently, she is working in the field of education. She received her M.A. in Modern Teaching Approaches from San`a’ University. |
